Among its distinctive characteristics, you will see a mix of footwork, body movements, and Brazilian Zouk’s unique head movements for followers. Brazilian Zouk can be danced to a very wide range of music styles, from lyrical songs to high-energy music.

Learning at DMI

Learning Brazilian Zouk dance in DMI is a progressive, fun experience for new and experienced dancers. We partner with the best Brazilian Zouk dancers in the community to bring you the best learning experience, and to help you get to the dance floor. We also have a wonderful community of social dancers to join and support you on your Brazilian Zouk dance journey. Practice outside of class is made easy with Practica (or practice) sessions and exciting social (dance) events. Not only will you be picking up an interesting new hobby, you can also be a part of a fun and friendly social circle.
